ABOUT
FERNANDO MACPUI
Honduran, originally from the capital city of Tegucigalpa, Fernando Macpui has lived in Roatan for the past 15 years. Fernando came to the island shortly after graduating from university and he instantly fell in love with the island landscape and its amenities. Since then, Fernando has established a strong connection and involvement within the community and is proud to call Roatan his home.
Speaking of himself: “I have great communication skills and work well with others. I’m a great choice because I’m honest, trustworthy and most importantly, I care! With that in mind, I take pride of everything I do, especially when it comes to representing someone else’s interests.”
Why Roatan?
WHAT MAKES OUR ISLAND IN THE SUN SPECIAL
Roatan is one of three islands that makes up the Bay Islands of Honduras, located some 40 miles from the northern coast of the Western Caribbean Sea. Roatan is home to some of the best scuba diving and most diverse dive sites in the Caribbean, as we are fortunate enough to be part of the Mesoamerican barrier system, the second largest in the world. Location! Location! Location!
At approximately 38 miles long and 7 miles across, Roatan is the largest and more developed of the three islands. In addition to our natural underwater and on land wonders, we now count with: luxury hotels and resorts, an international airport with direct USA flights from Houston, Atlanta, Miami, Minneapolis and Montreal, and Toronto, Canada, as well as Italy, modern private hospitals and numerous clinics, paved highway, three private English USA based curriculum schools, restaurants for all palates, churches of varied denominations, International fishing tournament, lots of family activities, English speaking natives, fun bars and nightlife and numerous other modern amenities; luckily, Roatan still has that sleepy little village getaway vibes of bygone years.
